No, you will need to contact your local Internet Service Provider (ISP)

Does Hostway support and offer Microsoft Access, ASP, and SQL?
Yes. These features are specific to Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and
are supported through our Windows 2000 web hosting options.
Does Hostway offer 24 hour technical support?
Yes! Our experienced support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week, and 365 days a year to help you with any problems that may arise
with your Hostway hosting account. You can reach us day or night via toll-free
phone or email. Toll-free phone support is available with our Gold Plus
plan and above. Gold and Value plan comes with email support. The vast
majority of support issues reported via email is resolved and responded

What kind of connection does Hostway have to the Internet backbone?
Hostway connects to the Internet backbone through multiple OC3 lines to
GTE, Sprint, UUNet, and Chicago NAP. Our connection to the Internet backbone
is the fastest and most reliable available.
Does Hostway also design web pages?
Hostway does not offer web designing services. However, we do provide
SiteStudio for your web design needs.

What is the typical Hostway server configuration?
Hostway's minimum server configurations are Dual Intel Pentium II or Pentium
III machines with Ultrawide SCSI HDD. Unlike many of our competitors who
employ inexpensive IDE drives, our Ultrawide SCSI hard drives ensure superior
server performance and reliability.
Does Hostway offer a shopping cart?
Hostway offers Miva products. Miva Merchant is a browser-based storefront
and catalog development tool that integrates cataloging, product maintenance,
category management, shopping basket, order and credit card processing.
The software is organized as a series of modules that can be field-upgraded
to provide new functionality without any changes to the core system. Developers
can use the browser interface to build and manage their stores, or can
"get under the hood" with complete access to the underlying
source codes written in XML based Miva Script.
Miva Order, which is offered with our Commerce Gold plan, provides a
secure, customizable online order form. Businesses simply incorporate
a link from the web page where their products are sold, permitting customers
to seamlessly access the order form and make purchases.
Can I securely accept credit card information through my web site?
If you order our Gold Plan (or above), or any of our ecommerce plans,
you have free access to our secure server running SSL (secure socket layer).
This allows users of your site to submit credit card information with
confidence, knowing that it is being transmitted safely and securely through
the Internet.
Is it possible to process credit card transactions in real time?
For this we recommend that you choose our Ecommerce Plans.
You need three things to process the credit card payments in real time:
1) A merchant account
2) A real-time credit card processing account
3) A shopping cart that supports your choice of a real-time credit card
processing solution.
You can obtain a merchant account and AuthorizeNet real-time credit card
processing account by filling out the form for the Miva Merchant shopping
cart system, which is included free of charge with our Ecommerce Plans.
This plan supports all major real-time credit card processing solutions
including AuthorizeNet, CyberCash, Mol-Pay, etc.
Does Hostway offer htmlscript (Mivascript)?
Yes
Does Hostway provide any database solutions?
Hostway supports mSQL and MS SQL. One mSQL database is free with our Gold
Plus Plan and higher. MS SQL support is provided with our Windows 2000
plans .
MySQL is also supported as an option on our UNIX plans.
What statistical package does Hostway offer?
All Hostway plans include Analog. Also, you have access to raw access
logs and are free to use the statistical packages of your choice.
Do you offer any ready-to-run cgi-scripts?
Yes, Hostway offers several ready-to-run cgi-scripts with our Gold plan
and higher. These scripts include FormMail and cgiemail (for emailing
form results), Guestbook, WWWboard (bbs), and guest counter. We're always
on the lookout for other reliable and popular cgi-scripts to make available
to our customers.
What are referral logs? Does Hostway offer them? ?
Referral logs tell you the web site from which visitors reached your page.
Using this information, you can tune your online advertising to maximize
traffic to your site. We provide this information in the form of domain
names of the referring pages (not IP addresses), making it easier to interpret
and analyse. Hostway offers referral logs as an option for $2/mo.
Does Hostway offer chat rooms?
Yes, we offer Site Chat.
Does Hostway allow cronjobs?
Hostway may allow programs to run in the background. These programs will
be
considered on an individual basis and customers will incur extra charges
based on system resources used and operational maintenance needed. If
you
wish to run background programs please contact Hostway at
support@hostway.com.au so that we can arrange set-up.
Does Hostway support Microsoft FrontPage?
Hostway will install the necessary extensions for you to use FrontPage
and is happy to answer your questions related to the use of these extensions.
FrontPage extensions are needed to enable you to publish your site with
FrontPage, and to run the tools supported by FrontPage: WebBots, ToDo
Lists and the FrontPage/Explorer interface.
Hostway does not support problems and questions directly related to the
use of FrontPage itself. Instead, we will direct you to Microsoft's FrontPage
Technical Support.
What version of FrontPage does Hostway support?
We support FrontPage 2002, 2000, 98 and 97.
Does Hostway support third-level domains or subdomains?
Hostway supports third level domain names with any of our web hosting
packages, such as "name.yourdomain.com"; however we do not allow
sub directory pointers, or subdomains.
What is Hostway's policy on upgrading OS or other software that comes
with the hosting plan?
You probably have some experience with upgrading software. If so, you
are probably also aware of some of the pitfalls involved with such upgrade.
As we are responsible for the reliability and stability of hundreds of
thousands of web sites and email systems, we are very careful when it
comes to modifying our software. As a matter of policy, we do not roll
out the latest changes unless it's subjected to our extensive internal
testing for at least several months. Also, we believe that it's wise to
let the new release 'burn-in" for several months, rather than roll
out the changes hot off the press. Of course, there are some exceptions
to this. When new security holes are identified and new patches released
to them, we generally apply it right away.
